One of our most popular explorers. The Explorer 5 is designed for caries and calculus detection, exploration of pocket characteristics, furcations, and restorations. This dual-sided explorer features a Shepards hook #23 end for caries detection and a #17 end for anterior interproximal caries detection. This multifunctional instrument is also used to check posterior interproximal margins and subgingival calculus.
