Dr. Petra Wilder-Smith is a globally renowned expert in laser dentistry and advanced oral diagnostics, with over 30 years of experience in academia and research across Europe and the United States. She is the Director of the Dental Program and a Professor at the Beckman Laser Institute, University of California, Irvine. With advanced degrees from prestigious institutions like Guy’s Hospital in London and the University of Bern, Dr. Wilder-Smith focuses on developing innovative technologies for early oral cancer detection, leveraging AI-powered diagnostic tools, and exploring the applications of laser technology in oral healthcare. A recipient of numerous international awards, including the Distinguished Scientist Award from the European Association for Laser Dentistry, she has authored over 100 scientific publications and holds multiple patents. As an active member of leading dental organizations, she continues to drive advancements in the field and will share her groundbreaking insights as the keynote speaker in our upcoming webinar. 

Cherie Wink, RDHMP, BS, CHEP

Cherie Wink, RDHMP, BS, CHEP, is a distinguished dental hygienist, educator, and researcher with over 30 years of clinical, academic, and research experience. She currently serves as a Clinical and Didactic Instructor at San Joaquin Valley College and a Faculty Researcher at the Beckman Laser Institute, University of California, Irvine. 

With expertise in advanced periodontal instrumentation, oral pathology, and ergonomics, Cherie has contributed significantly to improving clinician practices and patient care. She has published multiple peer-reviewed studies and co-authored educational materials, including the upcoming 9th edition of Fundamentals of Periodontal Instrumentation.

Cherie is a passionate advocate for innovation in dental hygiene, focusing on early oral cancer detection, ergonomic solutions for practitioners, and enhancing clinical outcomes. As a frequent speaker at conferences and professional events, she brings a wealth of knowledge and practical insights to the dental community. Cherie will share her expertise on periodontal instrumentation and innovations in oral healthcare in the upcoming webinar.
